Welcome to Sanilac County Department of Veteran Affairs

Mission Statement

"We are committed to the citizens of Sanilac County to assist those who have bravely defended our nation's freedom, constitution and security with honor and integrity.  Promising courteous, knowledgeable and dedicated service to all patrons while insuring respective federal, state and local entitlements due."



The Sanilac County Department of Veterans is a branch of county government funded solely from a county-wide millage established in 1998.  The office assists veterans and their dependents with all benefits they are entitled to under federal and state veteran-related law.

 

   

DIRECTOR:

Shannon Kreger is the Director for the office and has worked for the Sanilac County Department of Veterans Affairs since 2000.  She is a nationally accredited service officer holding accreditation's with National Association of County Veterans Service Officers, Disabled American Veterans, Military Order of the Purple Heart, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the US & Vietnam Veterans of America.
